An Endless Pool is a compact swimming pool with a swim current. The swimmer swims against the swim current, changing the speed to suit their stroke or swimming style. The swim current is driven by propellers to ensure a smooth, turbulent free flow of water, much like swimming in a river. There are many options including treadmill, depths, sizes, speed, hydrotherapy jets, styles.
We are suppliers and installers of Endless Pools in the North West of England covering Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Shropshire, North Wales and Staffordshire including Greater Manchester and Merseyside. We specialise in these compact, fitness pools and have been installing Endless Pools since 2017. We are one of the most experienced Endless Pools representatives in the UK. We also service Endless Pools and provide on line help.
Endless Pools are controlled by a simple waterproof controller that changes the speed of the swim current. There is a separate controller for the treadmill, if fitted. Alternatively, customers can use an app on which they design their workout and it runs automatically. For a look at the plant and hydraulic systems, check our future videos.
If you want to swim at home, we believe there is no better option than an Endless Pool. Small enough to fit in a single garage with the ability to adapt into any project. The swim is second to none with no turbulence, thanks to the propeller powered current and series of grills to smooth out any bubbles. If you want to sip champagne in warm water, then you need a hot tub or spa, if you want to exercise then you need an Endless Pool.
Endless Pools come with their own electric heater. As an Endless Pool only contains around 10,000 litres of water, this is a much smaller heating requirement than larger pools, enabling owners to use the pool all year round. Some customers adapt the heating to include Air Source Heat Pumps. The pools come with security covers and insulation to minimise heat loss, with additional winter covers available if required.
Endless Pools are made near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Endless Pools arrive in a crate and we deliver them to the customer’s site and build them in place. Because they are modular pools, we can fit the components through doorways, so that the Endless Pools can be installed in cellars, pool rooms, gyms and even on rooftops.
The standard Endless Pool is 7 x 14 feet by 48″ deep – it is traditional to use imperial measurements when talking about swimming pools although it might be easier to say 2.16m x 4m x 1m deep. However, the advantage of these modular pools is that they can be shorter, deeper, wider depending on the customer’s requirements and location. The largest pool is 16 x 16 feet. Dual Endless Pools have two swim currents side by side, ideal for commercial installations or when families want to exercise together.
An Endless Pool can be in ground, half in ground or surface mounted, depending on the customer’s requirements. We often install surface mounted pools in places like garages that are being transformed into pools rooms. For purpose built projects, they are often half in ground which makes it easier to swing your legs in and out. Fully sunk pools are great for spas and sleek modern finishes, however you need to consider a grab rail for getting in and out elegantly.
The fittings and fixtures of an Endless Pool are not designed for salt water. We recommend a mixture of chlorine and pH regulator to ensure crystal clear water. The advantage of having a private pool and only 10,000 litres of water is that you need minimal chemicals to ensure the water quality remains at optimum levels. For those who want to be less hands on, we recommend an auto dosing unit to keep control of the water quality.
