Endless Pools Enquiries up by 400%

Since the start of lockdown, North West based Malpelo Pools, has seen a 400% increase in enquiries for their Endless Pools range of compact home swimming pools.

“With soaring spring temperatures, the closure of public swimming pools and the fear of travelling, people are looking into ways that they can swim at home in the future.” Comments Malpelo Pools Director, Stephen Davies. “We’ve had enquiries from elite athletes, couples in retirement and families with children desperate to swim.  All our customers want to get fitter and healthier.  Most significantly, we’ve had a large increase in enquiries from people suffering from disabilities such as arthritis, joint pain and MS, who rely on public pools for hydrotherapy.”

“For most, the thought of returning to public pools after lockdown is an unattractive option. No one wants to swim anywhere that they might be exposed to Covid 19.”

Not many people have the space or budget for a full size home swimming pool.  However, an Endless Pool is half the price of a conventional pool, compact and small enough to fit into a single garage.  In addition, it offers the option of a highly efficient counter current and a treadmill for low impact, water based exercise.

Despite the pandemic driving Endless Pools enquiries up, lockdown has made it hard to run a pool business,” explains Stephen.  “We couldn’t offer test swims, site surveys were cancelled and pool installations postponed.  We are looking forward to getting back to work and helping to rebuild customers’ health and fitness and adding some Endless Pool fun to their homes.”
